PlatoForms FAQ
Can my clients resume a multi-page form if they accidentally close it
Question
My online form consists of multiple pages. If my clients accidentally close the multi-page form, can they resume it where they left off?
Answer
Absolutely! Your clients can easily pick up where they left off if they accidentally close a multi-page form. We offer two options to enable this feature:
-
Form auto-save option
When your clients open and fill out the form, their progress is automatically saved. Even if they close the form and return to it later, their previous responses will still be there.
-
Save for later option
This adds a Save for Later button to your form. When clients click this option, they receive a link. They can use this link to return to their unfinished form within 60 days to complete and submit it.
These options ensure a smooth experience for your clients, even if they accidentally close the form or need to return to it later to finish. You can choose the option that fits your needs best. Here’s how to set them up:
Form auto-save option
-
Go to the Dashboard and select your desired form.
-
Click the Settings (gear) button at the top right of the form, then click Invitation.
-
Fill in the required information in the Invitation panel.
For detailed instructions, check the Set your invitation section in the User Documentation.
-
After configuring your invitation info, scroll down and check the Form are saved automatically option.
Save for save option
-
Go to the Dashboard and select your desired form.
-
Click the Settings (gear) button at the top right of the form, then click Form Settings.
You’ll open the Form Settings window.
-
Under the General tab, switch on the Enable “Save for Later” option.
If your client clicks the Save For Later button multiple times, they will still access the same link. Alternatively, they can choose to send the link to their email address or bookmark it for future use.
