AI access to your forms is a permission, not a default.

OAuth sign-in

One-click OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. Your password and API keys are never shared with the assistant, and you can revoke access at any time.

Off by default for HIPAA teams

Teams in HIPAA mode start with MCP switched off. A team owner can turn it on — but data sent to an AI provider this way is not covered by the PlatoForms BAA, so review your obligations first.

Nothing happens off the record

Assistants can never send email from your account, rate limits apply on top of your plan, and every link they create stays visible in your invitation list for review.

What is the Model Context Protocol (MCP)?
MCP is an open standard that lets AI assistants use outside tools and data sources. ChatGPT connects through the official PlatoForms plugin. Other compatible assistants can connect to the hosted PlatoForms MCP server without a browser extension.
Which AI assistants work with PlatoForms?
The official PlatoForms plugin is available in ChatGPT. Claude (web and desktop), Claude Code, and current OpenAI Codex releases also connect with OAuth. Cursor and other remote-MCP tools can use OAuth when supported, with a PlatoForms API key as a fallback.
Is my form data safe?
Your assistant only gets the access you grant, through the same permission and plan checks as the PlatoForms app. OAuth keeps your password and API key out of the assistant. Team owners can switch AI access on or off for the whole team, and it starts switched off for HIPAA-mode teams. Do not use MCP for payment-card data, government identifiers, passwords, API keys, or one-time authentication codes. Data sent through MCP is not covered by the PlatoForms BAA. The public ChatGPT plugin must not be used to process protected health information (PHI).
What data can an assistant access?
Only the data needed for the action you request, such as your account identity, form names and fields, submission data, generated-document metadata, and time-limited file links. PlatoForms does not give the MCP server your full AI chat history. The selected AI provider receives tool inputs and results under its own terms and privacy policy. See the PlatoForms Privacy Policy and Terms of Service before connecting.
Can an assistant really create a form or PDF document?
Yes, both. Describe what you need — a client intake form, a consulting agreement, an offer letter — and the assistant creates it in your account, then hands you an editor link. Open it and the AI design appears in front of you. PDF documents can be exported print-ready, made fillable, or converted to online forms — no rebuilding.
Does MCP access cost extra?
MCP uses the API access available with your PlatoForms account. New accounts can try it during the 15-day free trial; continued access requires a plan that includes API access. Assistant actions use your available API quota, with additional rate limits on top.
