Can I get a text or a Slack message when something needs me?

I do not sit in PlatoForms all day. Can I get a text or a Slack message when an approval or something else is waiting on me?

Answer

Yes, on a paid plan. Each person connects their own mobile number or Slack account and chooses which rows reach them.

1. Click your avatar in the top right, choose Account Settings, then the Notification tab.
2. For texts, click Add phone under the card, enter your mobile number and the six-digit code we text you.
3. For Slack, click Connect Slack and allow direct messages on Slack’s page.
4. Turn on the switches in the SMS and Slack columns: Needs your attention and Alerts by text or Slack, Updates by Slack.

A message is one line with the item’s title and a link that opens your Inbox with that item highlighted. It never contains a name from a submission, a field value or a file. Texts are charged to the team the item belongs to, at that team’s SMS rate, and go only while that team is on a paid plan and has SMS credit. Updates are never texted.
