Can I obtain a Signature Certificate if I edit and resubmit my submission

Question

Can I obtain a Signature Certificate if I edit and resubmit my submission?

Answer

No. Only the first submitted version of a submission is signed, on every form.

Editing and resubmitting. The edit is accepted, but it records no new signing and no new certificate is issued. The certificate’s verification page then shows Superseded by a later version, still with the signed version and when it was signed. If you need a new signature on the changed content, send a new invitation.

Where the original certificate is. After an edit, the submission’s Actions menu no longer offers Download Signature Certificate (the icon tooltip reads “Signature Certificate Available on Revision 1”). Open Actions > Revisions …, then download the Signature Certificate of revision 1.
