If you have tried connecting a form builder to an AI assistant, you may have found that “AI support” can mean very different things. One product offers a general MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. Another publishes separate integrations for Claude and ChatGPT. A third may rely only on a community-built connector that the vendor does not support.
Jotform, Tally, Typeform, and SurveyMonkey currently document official connections for both Claude and ChatGPT. PlatoForms works with Claude, Codex, Cursor, and other supported MCP clients, while public ChatGPT access is still pending. Google provides a Forms API, but we found no official Google Forms-specific MCP server.
We checked the vendors’ official documentation to separate the connections you can use today from beta products, limited integrations, and features that have not launched yet.

“Yes” means the vendor documents an official connection. It does not mean every feature is available on every plan or in every AI client.
PlatoForms: live in Claude, Codex, Cursor, and compatible MCP clients
PlatoForms MCP connects an AI assistant to the forms and submissions in your PlatoForms account. PlatoForms is also an online form builder for creating web forms from scratch, from a template, or from an existing PDF. With MCP, you can ask the assistant to:
- Find forms and inspect their fields.
- Search and read submissions.
- Create time-limited download links for generated PDFs and attachments.
- Submit a form entry.
- Create a prefilled form link.
- Create a new web form from a description.
- Create a new PDF document from a description.
PlatoForms returns a builder or editor link. Open it to review and finish the generated form or PDF document before publishing or exporting it. PlatoForms MCP cannot edit an existing form or PDF document from the chat, and it does not support deleting forms or submissions.
Outside the MCP workflow, you can also start in PlatoForms with a ready-made registration form, survey, or client onboarding form, then customize it in the form builder.
PlatoForms recommends OAuth 2.1 with PKCE for supported clients. Claude on the web and desktop, Claude Code, and current OpenAI Codex releases can connect with OAuth. Cursor, scripts, and other compatible MCP clients can use OAuth when supported or a PlatoForms API key as a fallback.
Public ChatGPT access is not available yet. Check the setup guide for the latest supported clients.
PlatoForms focuses on PDF-native workflows. It can preserve an existing PDF’s layout while adding fillable fields, create a standalone PDF document from a prompt, and generate completed PDFs from online submissions. This article does not attempt to compare the wider PDF-editor market.
Jotform: live MCP access for forms and submissions
Jotform’s official MCP server works with MCP-compatible clients including Claude and ChatGPT. Its current documentation supports these core actions:
- List forms.
- Create a form.
- Edit a form.
- Create a submission.
- Get submissions.
The hosted server uses OAuth 2.0 and does not support bearer-token access. Jotform says the MCP server has no additional charge, although the limits and features of the user’s existing Jotform plan still apply.
Jotform supports both form editing and submission access through its live MCP server.
Tally: broad capabilities, still in beta
Tally’s MCP documentation describes support for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other MCP clients. The assistant can create forms from a description, edit existing forms, browse a workspace, retrieve submissions, and analyze response data. OAuth is the recommended connection method, with API-key access also available.
Tally makes its MCP server available on all plans. Its free plan includes unlimited forms and submissions, subject to Tally’s fair-use policy—not an unconditional absence of limits.
The server is still labeled beta, so its tools and behavior may change. Tally also states that its current MCP tools cannot delete forms or submissions.
Typeform: capable MCP access with a small free response allowance
Typeform’s official MCP server works with Claude and ChatGPT and uses OAuth. Its documented capabilities include creating and updating forms, working with contacts and automations, and analyzing responses. Typeform describes the server as a generally available beta.
One constraint for free-plan testing is the current response allowance: it permits 10 responses per month across all forms. That may be enough to test the connection, but not enough for a live workflow with regular submissions.
SurveyMonkey: live connections for Claude and ChatGPT
SurveyMonkey launched its Claude connector in May 2026 and its ChatGPT plugin in August 2026. Both official connections are powered by MCP. They let users create surveys, work with survey questions, generate shareable links, and analyze responses from the AI assistant.
These are separate product listings for Claude and ChatGPT, not documentation of a universal server for every MCP-compatible client. SurveyMonkey also notes that editing a live survey may require opening SurveyMonkey, so check the state of the survey before relying on an in-chat edit.
Google Forms: an API, but no official Forms-specific MCP server found
Google provides a supported Google Forms API, which developers can use to build their own integrations. As of our verification date, however, we could not find a Google-published MCP server specifically for creating forms or working with Google Forms responses.
Community MCP wrappers exist, but they are not the same as an integration published and supported by Google. Before using one with real response data, review who maintains it, what permissions it requests, and where it sends or stores data.
What matters more than the number of tools
A longer tool list does not automatically make a connection more useful. Start with the tasks you actually want the assistant to perform:
- Can it work in your AI assistant? A Claude-only connector does not solve a ChatGPT workflow, and the reverse is also true.
- Can it read the information you need? Check whether it can retrieve individual responses, search submissions, and access files—not just list form names.
- Can it make the changes you need? Creating a form, editing an existing form, submitting data, and deleting data are separate permissions.
- Can you review what it creates? AI-generated forms and documents should remain editable before they go live.
- Can you use it on your current plan? Check whether the connection is available for your account and what form, response, or API limits apply.
- How is access controlled? Prefer a documented OAuth connection that can be reviewed and revoked. Treat an API key like a password.
The practical answer
There is no single winner for every team.
- Choose Jotform, Tally, or Typeform if you need an official connection that their documentation says works with both Claude and ChatGPT today.
- Consider SurveyMonkey if your workflow is centered on surveys and you work in Claude or ChatGPT.
- Consider PlatoForms if you need to work with existing PDFs, create fillable forms or PDF documents, and generate completed PDFs from submitted data. Claude, Codex, Cursor, and compatible MCP clients work now; public ChatGPT access is still pending.
- Expect custom development if you need a Google Forms workflow through MCP today.
The safest way to choose is to ignore the broad “AI-powered” label and test one real task: connect the assistant, retrieve a response, create or edit a draft, and confirm exactly what the assistant is allowed to change.
