Why does this PlatoForms email have no unsubscribe link?

Question

I want fewer emails from PlatoForms, but some of them have no unsubscribe link at all, and the trial reminder ends with “Why am I getting this?”. How do I stop them?

Answer

Two kinds of email are always sent and have no unsubscribe link: emails about work someone assigned to you (a step to approve or fill in, files to review, a renewal due, a paper import ready, a team invitation) and alerts about your account (payment, usage, a cloud drive to reconnect, a webhook, a sender that stopped, the trial ending). They tell you about something only you can act on, so they cannot be switched off. The trial reminder’s “Why am I getting this?” link opens your preferences page, where those two rows show a lock.

Everything else can be switched off:

  • Stop per-submission emails at the bottom of a submission email, or untick Each submission on your card. You keep full access to the submissions; only the emails stop.
  • Stop daily summaries at the bottom of the daily summary, or untick Daily summary.
  • Unsubscribe from PlatoForms news at the bottom of a newsletter, or switch off News from PlatoForms.

Your card is under your avatar > Account Settings > Notification. The Manage email preferences link in any of our emails opens the same card without signing in. See Choose what PlatoForms sends you.
