Question

PlatoForms lets me turn my PDF into either a PDF Fillable Form or a Web PDF Form. What’s the difference, and which one should I pick?


Answer

Both let people fill out your PDF in a browser and submit it digitally — no downloads, no printing. The difference is what happens to the design.

  • PDF Fillable Forms keep your original PDF exactly as designed. Only the fields become interactive.
  • Web PDF Forms show your PDF’s fields in a responsive, mobile-friendly filling screen. Only the filling screen changes: the completed PDF is still your original PDF with the answers placed on it.

Note: this is different from a Custom Web Form, which is built from scratch without starting from a PDF.
