Auto-detect form with AI

This article shows how to use AI in PlatoForms to quickly add fields to your PDF form.

What is AI field detection?

AI form detection automatically scans your uploaded PDF and adds form fields based on its layout.

It analyzes the structure of your PDF—like labels and help text—to decide where the elements should go. This saves you time from manually dragging and dropping around.

Best practices

AI field detection works best for:

  • Small to medium forms that need a quick setup

  • Forms with a clear layout and readable labels

It’s not recommended for:

  • Large forms with more than 10 pages

  • Forms that contain hundreds of fields

    Note

To avoid overuse, AI field detection is limited in frequency and may not run for very large forms.
