Creating an Online Form for an Existing PDF

  • Custom Domain

With Builder you can build three types of forms: online web forms, online PDF forms, and master forms.

  • Master Form Builder

you will arrive at the Form Builder. On the form Builder, there are three main sections:

Preview online PDF form

With PlatoForms’ preview feature, you can see how your online PDF form will look before you publish it. This helps you ensure everything looks and works as you want it to before respondents see it. You can make changes based on the preview to make sure your form is ready for users when you launch it.

Preview your form

To use this feature, click the Preview Form button in the top toolbar of your form builder.

Preview Form PDF

You can preview your form in its finalized state from the form previewer. This allows you to fill out the fields, submit responses, and test the form’s functionality as if it were live.

Form validaiton

Form validation is crucial to verify user input accuracy. By default, the Form Validation Enabled button is active during the preview phase.

Validation

  • When Form Validation Enabled is on: You can preview the form with validation constraints. Be aware that enabling it might occasionally cause preview issues.

  • When Form Validation Enabled is off: You can preview the form without validation constraints. This simplifies assessing layout and functionality.

Preview sample data

You can fill sample data with specific fields to visualize their presentation during the preview. This feature helps you assess the visual representation and ensure the desired information presentation before publishing the form.

To preview sample data in your form, on the preview page of your form, click Fill Sample Data.

Preview the PDF after form submission

Once you have filled in and submitted the form on the preview page, you will receive a prompt saying “Your form has been submitted successfully.” You will also find the Preview PDF button located in the top right corner. By clicking this button, you can preview the PDF version of your submitted form.
